The Fund has five sector groups that represent targeted areas of investment: Cleantech; Health Care; Information Technology; Media & Communications; and Retail & Tourism.

Sector group members are top industry experts drawn from the Fund's investor network and other sources. Through the sector groups, the Fund is able to engage senior business executives in the Fund’s mission of job creation and economic development for the city.

The sector group members volunteer their time and institutional resources to help review the Fund’s investments in a particular sector and discuss industry trends and potential investment opportunities and projects for the Fund in each sector. The sector groups review proposals from both for profit companies and not-for-profit entities, as well as the Fund’s larger public-private initiatives. Sector group members also assist the Fund in conducting due diligence and monitoring portfolio projects. Many of the Fund’s portfolio companies have benefited from the expertise and advice of our sector members.
