Information Technology

The Fund seeks to support entrepreneurial activity focused on technology-based solutions that improve the efficiency and productivity of New York City’s core industries including financial services and media, and seeks to support the growth of technology businesses headquartered in NYC. The Information Technology Sector Group is chaired by Mr. Kevin Ryan, Chairman and CEO of AlleyCorp and former CEO of DoubleClick. As co-founder of AlleyCorp, Mr. Ryan has started six New York based technology businesses.

The Fund's investment in NYCSeed LLC is one of the ways NYCIF is supporting entrepreneurial activity within New York City's information technology sector. NYCSeed provides funding, mentoring and support to seed-stage technology entrepreneurs. NYCSeed's goal is to create the next generation of NYC-based technology companies.
