Description |
Based in Queens, US Energy Group has developed a comprehensive energy management solution to help managers/owners of multi-family residential and Class B and C commercial buildings monitor and control heating costs and conserve energy and water. Data from all system sensors and meters are accessible online, allowing building managers/owners to remotely monitor and manage an entire portfolio of buildings with the easy-to-use USE-Manager interface over the Internet or with US Energy Group's smartphone application. Rather than regulating a building's heating based on the outside temperature, US Energy Group's system controls the boiler based on a series of wireless temperature sensors placed throughout the building's interior. Additionally, a patented digital sensor on the oil tank monitors levels, verifies oil deliveries, provides low oil alerts, and tracks fuel use over time. The investment is part of NYCIF's strategy to support the development of a vibrant cleantech sector in New York City and to invest in companies that create jobs and provide other benefits for the city. Over 80% of the city's carbon emissions are generated by its buildings. US Energy Group has developed an affordable, user-friendly solution for multi-family residential and Class B and C commercial buildings that can both reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption. |
